How To Arrive

If you arrive from the motorway A1 Firenze-Roma, follow the below instructions:

- Exit from the A1 at "VALDARNO" (exit n.25); it is the next after Incisa if you arrive from Firenze , the next after Arezzo if you arrive from Roma.
Immediately after the toll barrier turn on right and go on for about one Km to the first roundabout . Follow the sign for MONTEVARCHI .
- Drive through Montevarchi direction Arezzo on the national road SS 69, drive through the little village LEVANE and go on direction AREZZO
- When you find the sign of POGGIO BAGNOLI, on the second across turn on right direction Pergine .
- Go on on the top of the village, the square in front of you is :Piazza del Comune; once you enter the square, the house is on the left side. Number 8 (Casa di Vignolo apt.) or 3 (La Miccia apt.).
IMPORTANT Please call the owner to advise about the arrival time.

Outdoor

The veranda, where enjoy a glass of wine, is open directly on the small square of the village and has garden furniture.
Because the square is a pedestrian area, the place is particularly quiet and clean .
Pergine Valdarno is a very typical small village in Tuscany , surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. According to documents found in the Granducato di Toscana archives, the village was built around 1050.
On top of a 350m(1150ft) hillside, it's the perfect spot for breathtaking views of the Arno Valley. The climate is beautiful as well, during the summer a slight mountain breeze cools the air and in the winter the dry mountain air gives you clear days .
While the village of Pergine Valdarno retains its Old World charm it still offers all the modern conveniences such as a grocery, bakery, butcher, restaurant, bank, post office, pharmacy and police station.
The guests are welcome to use the swimming pool at the farmhouse 'Podere il Doccio' (we are owners of both properties: see please the web page www.doccio.it ).
Use of the swimming pool is free.

Attractions

The most important cultural town are a short drive away, but don't forget to dedicate part of your time to explore the beautiful Valdarno valley: although it's very famous in Tuscany for the industrial development, restricted in particular areas, however it conserve untouched landscapes and artistic heritage that deserve your visit.
Old villages with derived names directly from the Etruscan time as Loro Ciuffenna, Gropina or Cennina, castles and parish churches, wait you to make your holiday unforgettable.

Local Transport

We suggest to rent a car because it's the most convenient way to travel, but Bus transport from the village to Arezzo, Montevarchi or Siena are quite good and cheap.

Parking

There are several free parking just nearby the house. The square where is located the house is a pedestrian area and just a short time to unload the luggage is permit.
